Another healthcare company at our WT | Innovation Show – Vielight – has dedicated their research to improving the life of people suffering with Alzheimer’s disease by using intranasal light therapy, also known as “photobiomodulation”, a science which uses photonic energy to stimulate cellular function in neurons. It directs pulsed near infrared light (NIR) to the hubs of the default mode network (DMN) of the brain using low power light emitting diodes (LED). The team works on this tech since 1995 and shows their creativity and knowledge to make the device available for every-day life.

Their entirely flexible connected patch “Magni” can be slapped onto any part of the body and measures ECG to detect the stress levels and transfers this data via Bluetooth to your tablet or smartphone. The device can be equipped with any sensor in the future. MagniWare is a fusion of hardware, software, and advances material science capable of accurately collecting and analyzing physiological data. The team’s objective is to establish a Life Optimization Engine predicated on personalized feedback and guidance.
Our exhibition area of course also covers sports and fitness: Ollinfit is a personal trainer for dedicated athletes. Are you into VR gaming? Pinch VR has created a smartphone case that can easily transform into a VR desktop! They had a successful Indiegogo campaign that ended at the beginning of this year. Their second screen headset also comes with a finger mouse for gesture control within the VR world. Their case, combined with a free companion app allows you to browse, watch video, and connect to your content in a virtual environment.
