For the 7th consecutive year now WT | Wearable Technologies will be presenting the latest innovations and developments in the wearables market at MEDICA, the world’s leading trade fair for the medical industry. The show attracts more than 130,000 visitors and over 4,800 exhibitors every year. And in 2016, with more than 35 exhibitors from 15 countries, the WT | Wearable Technologies Show is as international and comprehensive as never before. Structured in eight big categories – movement, sports medicine, women, pain treatment, special diseases, monitoring, wearables for first-aiders and enabling tech/WT Ecosystem the exhibitors from Wearable Technologies cover a wide range of medicine areas. Emfit’s competence is contact-free ballistocardiography, breathing and movement analytics during sleep. It was founded in 1990 and is headquartered in Finland. This year on MEDICA they will present their Tuck Emfit QS sensor. It measures data in real time like heart-rate, heart-rate variability, breathing rate, movement activity and all sleep classes after person wake up which all can be reviewed in the web application.. Also athletes can benefit from recovery and stress analysis, nurses can remotely monitor their cared seniors and clinicans can use it for obstructive sleep apnea diagnosis.
Bioservo Technologies AB is a leader in soft exoskeleton technology and combines world-class expertise within medical, robotics and wearable technologies to create ergonomic, strength-enhancing products. This year on MEDICA in Düsseldorf they will be presenting the award-winning SEM Glove™, used as an occupational back to work aid, in healthcare and in the home by people with impaired muscular strength. Bioservo also provides a product called ironHand, a robotic glove for elderly people that are experiencing a loss in hand function due to age related muscle loss and different health complications.

Their solutions and services range from customization services and volume manufacture to complete wearable sensing solutions of any complexity. Based on award winning clinical grade sensor technology, Shimmer offers wearable wireless sensing technology like Shimmer 3, Shimmer 3 GSR+ or Shimmer 3 EMG which will be presented on MEDICA-Show this year.
