Teslasuit Full Body Haptic VR Suit Goes Beyond Gaming to Take Virtual Reality to a New Level

Teslasuit VR

Teslasuit (no relation to Tesla Motors) provides a unique opportunity to enhance the VR/AR/MR experiences. It’s intelligent and cutting-edge solutions help to improve your business and add competitive advantages to your products and services.

Developed by UK-based Tesla Studios, Teslasuit is the world’s first fully integrated smart clothing apparel with Haptic Feedback, Motion Capture, Climate Control and Biometric Feedback systems.

Whether you are a game developer, arcade owner or enterprise representative – we have a solution for you.

The suit’s 64 haptic points across the body can simulate sensations all the way from a feather-light touch, to a hard punch.

To make the virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) experience complete, all of the body’s senses should be involved. By including transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS or TNS/EMS) and high-precision motion tracking the Teslasuit has completely achieved the non-invasive immersion into xR.

Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) is the method of using electric current produced by a device to stimulate the nerves. This technique is primarily used for therapeutic purposes. In gaming, it’s also used to improve and magnify the total immersion virtual reality experience. The results blur the line between virtual and real worlds.

“We wanted the Teslasuit to erase the difference between the virtual and the real worlds. The gaming market, entertainment, and enterprise in VR and AR are currently the natural applications for this technology,” said Dimitri Mikhalchuk, CEO of Teslasuit.

The textiles used in the suit are woven with conductive thread, layers with waterproof neoprene which, somewhat amazingly, makes the suit itself water proof and fully washable.

T-Belt or the central unit of the suit powers the Teslasuit. This central unit is then assisted by bolt-on co-processors for Motion, Climate control and Haptics. The central processing unit connects wirelessly to your PC.
