Wear Space is a wearable concentration device developed by Panasonic‘s Future Life Factory. The device helps you focus by limiting your senses of sight and hearing, via noise-canceling technology and a partition that controls your field of view.

“As open offices and digital nomads are on the rise, workers are finding it ever more important to have personal space where they can focus,” said Panasonic.
“And we’re bringing the device to life through partnership with Kunihiko Morinaga, creator of the fashion brand Anrealage, who shares our vision for this concept. And though joint development with external partners, we’re expanding on applications for WEAR SPACE.”
Putting on Wear Space is as simple as putting on an article of clothing, and it instantly creates a space that you need to focus.
The wearer can adjust his or her viewing angle by pulling or pushing the two ends of the device further apart, or closer together, to narrow or widen the visibility, depending on the desired level of concentration.
This partition is fixed around the user’s head by a pair of noise-cancelling headphones fitted to the inside of the curved body. These headphones block out ambient sounds, and feature three levels of noise cancellation depending on the environment.

Wireless and Bluetooth connected, the device can be connected to a smartphone or PC to listen to a chosen sound or music.
Wear Space is made of a flexible material that comfortably wraps around the back of your head and extends to the sides of your eyes, blocking out distractions in your peripheral view.
The studio is now raising funds on a crowdfunding site, and from the response, it’s safe to say that there are a lot of people out there who are willing to put down money for the dystopian relief of a distraction-free office.
