Huami, well-known for its Xiaomi Mi Band fitness trackers and Amazfit branded smartwatches, has now decided to expand its product line and launch a smart scale.
The first clue about the company’s smart scale came from a Bluetooth SIG certification that was published on August 5th. This revealed that the Amazfit Smart Scale (going under number A2003 in the filing), will come with a Bluetooth 5.0 module supplied by Broadcom-owned Beken Corp, reports GadgetsAndWearables.
The scale will be called Amazfit Smart Scale, and it will collect more than just weight. The scale will monitor a range of health metrics including body muscle mass, fat ratio, basal metabolism, water ratio, visceral fat level, body type, bone mass, BMI, and body score.

The Amazfit app now has the option for adding a smart scale even though the product is yet to launch. If you select the option, it displays the interface on the left and tells you to step on it to pair.
