Gold’s Gym, a trusted fitness authority across the globe, introduced its GOLD’s AMP, a combo of audio coaching and music app, to members and non-members in 2017. GOLD’s AMP is a novel fitness app which provides workout methods from expert Gold’s Gym coaches.
“GOLD’S AMP™ provides users with expert guidance, coaching and encouragement every step of their workout,” said Josh Rider, Gold’s Gym Senior Vice President of Revenue Management and Strategic Partnerships. “Teaming up with Garmin as a leading wearable technology provider is a natural fit for GOLD’S AMP™ as we continue to expand and enhance the experience and results tracking we provide within the app.”
The GOLD’s AMP app is designed to prevent tedious and unmotivating workouts. Using upbeat music playlists, the app keeps you moving and its audio coaching encourages you throughout your workout. With more than 100 both indoor and outdoor workouts, the app is a combination of great music and expert trainer right by your side during intense workout. The app doesn’t require a Gold’s Gym membership, it’s free for everyone.
The Garmin integration will make the experience of beginning a workout even more interactive by keeping the curated music and audio coaching of the original Gold’s AMP app and making it even more exciting by connecting it to Garmin’s latest GPS smartwatches and fitness trackers. Throughout the workout, the app will display heart rate in real time for the users with compatible Garmin devices including the vivoactive 3, the fenix 5 series and the Forerunner 645 Music. Users can use the collected data to enhance performance and accomplish their fitness goals faster.
“We know through our many years of experience in the fitness wearables space that the importance of heart rate monitoring during exercise simply cannot be overstated,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of global consumer sales. “Through this collaboration with Gold’s Gym, we’re excited to combine our two areas of expertise to provide a digital personal training experience like no other.”
