Danish-inspired watchmaker Skagen will soon start shipping its new touchscreen smartwatch Falster 2 after it was introduced at the IFA 2018. Skagen has made subtle updates to the design. The feature-rich yet minimalist looking smartwatch will immediately grab your attention with its metallic accents and magnetic steel mesh band.

“The Falster 2 represents everything SKAGEN stands for: beautiful, design-focused products that are functional for the way people live,” says Frederik Thrane, creative director for SKAGEN. “An appreciation of simplicity and a thoughtful approach to how your time is spent are key elements in the Danish way of life—and we capture them in our smartwatches through minimalist execution and customizable function.”
Arguably Falster 2 is even better looking than its predecessor. It’s also lighter and has a thinner bezel than the original Falster, making its 1.19-inch face feel bigger but still classy. The 320×320 resolution is bright and clear, and it’s big enough to comfortably navigate around the Wear OS software.
Following the launch of Falster, Skagen invited fans to share feedback about which features they would like to see in future generations. The most requested was heart-rate monitor, and Skagen happily delivered on that request.
