TytoCare is a mobile-health platform and device, allowing anyone to perform self-physical examination and remote diagnosis.

The Tyto handheld exam kit and app lets you perform guided medical exams, with a doctor, anytime, anywhere. With Tyto, you can receive a diagnosis from your doctor, a treatment plan, and a prescription if needed, all from the comfort of home.

The platform, which has raised $54 million to date, works by connecting patient and physician through the TytoApp on a smartphone or tablet, reports MedGadget.

Tyto Care has three telehealth products: TytoHome™ for consumers, TytoPro™ for professionals, and TytoClinic™ for remote point-of-care locations. All solutions are designed to replicate a face-to-face clinician visit and include a hand-held modular examination tool for examining the heart, lungs, skin, throat, ears and body temperature; a complete telehealth platform for sharing exam data, conducting live video exams and scheduling visits; a cloud-based data repository with analytics; and built-in guidance technology and machine learning algorithms to ensure accuracy and ease of use. The Tyto platform also allows for simple integration with EHR systems and other telehealth platforms.

Tyto Care’s telehealth products include an FDA-cleared digital connected stethoscope, which was launched within the US in 2017. These devices are designed to better facilitate telehealth visits by providing remote practitioners with specific biometrics, thereby reducing the need for symptom-based guesswork when making a diagnosis. The company markets the products to providers, insurers, and consumers.
