For the past couple of weeks, we’ve been hearing leaked reports on Samsung’s upcoming smartwatch. The South Korean tech company accidentally revealed the image of the new watch on its own US website, where it remained for a few minutes before someone realized and took it down. Thankfully not before CNET could nab a screengrab.

What we learned so far is that the new watch will be called the Galaxy Watch, and not the Gear S4.
And now, we’ve also learned what the watch actually looks like. As reported by Wareable, the model was a 42mm rose gold version.
By the model number SM-R810, the watch matches up with the previously reported model number for the Wi-Fi variant of the smartwatch. The LTE model goes by SM-R815.
As for the looks, there are some similarities to the Gear. The two buttons on the side are almost identical to the buttons from the Gear S2. In fact, design wise, the Galaxy Watch appears to draw more from the Gear S2 than the Gear S3. It’s a lot less square in shape than the S3, going much more round save for the lugs where the band attaches.
No pricing or release date was revealed on the listing. But the chances are the new Galaxy Watch will run the latest version of Samsung’s Tizen software and will also have some type of Bixby integration. Shortly after CNET publicized the accidental leak, Samsung pulled the listing from its site.
Another rumored feature is sleep tracking. But, this is something that Garmin and Fitbit have both been providing wearers with for years.
There have also been numerous leaked reports that blood pressure monitoring is set to debut on the Galaxy Watch, and while not necessarily a mass-appeal feature, it’s something that would give it a boost over what’s on offer through Google’s smartwatch clan and others.

If you want to get a closer look at the product, Samsung still has the listing from the “Related Products” portion of its retail website. So head on over to any Gear S2 listing, like this one, and you can find the new Galaxy Watch. If you click on the listing, you’ll be taken to a “Page Not Found,” but you’ll still be able to inspect the rose gold version of the new product from the previous page.
