Apple just unveiled its new Watch 4, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and more during a special iPhone launch event at the Steve Jobs Theater, Apple headquarters in Cupertino, California.
The Apple Watch Series 4 was the first device unveiled by Apple at the event. It includes a host of improvements over Watch 3, including a larger display, faster processor, built-in ECG scanner, and more.

Apple gave its Watch 4 a brand new look. Apple COO Jeff Williams described the new watch as “beautiful,” saying that the screens are between 32% and 35% larger, depending on the model you buy. The display looks great and the colors are bright and vivid on a fully black background.
The Watch 4 is slimmer than the 3rd gen smartwatches currently in the market, meaning it’ll look less bulky on your wrist.
With the re-designed user interface to adapt to the change, Apple added more detail onto the screen, including a brand new watch face with eight different features or measurements on the display.
Apple Watch 4 is powered by a new dual-core 64-bit S4 processor that is custom-designed to improve performance. The new watch should be 2 times faster than the previous models, according to Apple. The faster processor will surely help with app load times and general use.
The new watch is run by Watch OS5, and the company promises 18 battery-life which is the same as Watch 3.
As for the sound, the new and improved speaker is louder and microphone is more accurate.
One of the features that made headlines is its ability to detect fall and deliver an alert to let you initiate an emergency call. If it senses that you’re immobile for more than a minute, the watch will start the emergency call automatically and contact the emergency contact saved in your phone.
The new watch can also screen your heart rhythm for irregularities, such as atrial fibrillation, and alert you about any problems.
The Watch 4 is able to take an electrocardiogram (ECG) in just 30 seconds, and enables you to share the data with your doctor.

Aside from the display, Apple has also remodeled the digital crown on the side of the watch so it now includes haptic feedback, which means you’ll feel a tiny little stutter when you touch it – making the button feel more alive.
Preorders for the Watch 4 will start on Friday, Sept. 14, and Apple will start shipping on Sept. 21. Prices start at $400.
